Hello 2022!

Its almost the end of the first full week of 2022 so these new year greetings are probably somewhat belated. We had a really nice Iyengar Yoga immersion in the last 2 weeks of Dec 2021, and several small group celebrations for Christmas and the new year in keeping with SMM.

It will be really nice to not have Covid-19 constantly in the forefront of all that we do, and hopefully this will be something that we will manifest in 2022. It may not happen immediately, but it will happen because it has to happen, and this pandemic has to end.

Our theme and focus for 2022 is: COME AS YOU ARE.

The last 2 year have been lived in constant flux. Not being able to plan, not being able to get on with life plans and holding back on things like travelling and performing. There has been a lot of shift in the last 2 years, and not all changes have been easy. Everyone talks about what we need to do, but there are few spaces that allow us to process how we feel, and to make sense of our emotions in a safe space that will not judge or impose. And we can be doing fine in the practical sense, but emotionally, we may be on the struggle bus.

The focus to COME AS YOU ARE is all about meeting you where you are, not just physically, but emotionally. If you show up, we will meet you where you are.

Schedule-wise, Sundays are now available for privates and courses and I am looking forward to rolling out some really interesting programmes once we get a little more certainty on how Singapore is going to react to Omicron. Right now we have the Feb-March Iyengar Yoga Immersion fully subscribed and I hope that we will be able to sail smoothly through those 2 months at least, with SMM measures remaining as they are.

As for now, 2022 feels like it is brimming with optimism. Do keep showing up for yourself on the mat and if life has become really busy and you can't make time to come down, do create pockets of time to do your own practice. You know enough to spend 15-20minutes with yourself a couple of times a week at least, to feel your body and give it some care and love.
